We are also involved in water and electricity utility management, transmission and distribution network design and development as well as generation planning, load profiling and energy management services. Emtech provides services on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Projects as well as access programmes for rural communities. We provide services towards obtaining licenses for power generation, transmission and distribution. We work with clients to find creative solutions regarding the sale of electricity to all off-takers including eligible customers. We have negotiated wholesale power purchase agreements as well as retail power sales agreements with both large and small commercial customers. We also advise energy providers on renewable energy and energy efficiency projects and related regulatory requirements. We provide technical assistance on operating and managing water utilities as well as sewage projects.
We have experience representing clients in negotiating cross-border energy projects. We are involved in cross – border electricity trading arrangements and work with clients in negotiating cross-border PPAs and interconnection agreements as well as cross – border gas supply and transportation agreements. We render support in the area of licensing, market operations, tariff regulation as well as community engagement. We offer evaluation services on environmental, social and gender impact assessment associated with energy development projects.
Emtech provides Capacity Building to its clients across all sectors where Emtech is engaged to ensure development of institutional capacity and knowledge transfer. Emtech has a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN), one of the few institutions recognized by the African Power Utilities Association (APUA), as a center of Excellence in Africa for capacity building for power utilities in Africa. Emtech supports NAPTIN towards providing certified programmes in Utility Operations & Management, Electricity Markets and Utility Regulation. Emetch is also collaborating with the ECOWAS Regional Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERERA) in providing capacity building to ECOWAS Regulators and Utilities on Electricity Markets and Regulation.
